An exciting building project is currently underway on the Fremantle campus, which includes a complete refurbishment of both St Teresa's and Craven Law libraries. You can read more about this project, find temporary alternate study venues, and see some images of our future library at the following link - Student Hub

As a consequence of this project from the week of 4th December 2023, all library services will move to the Galvin study space in ND35 until the project is complete.

Throughout the project, Library staff are here to help you - in person at the support desk in Galvin, over the phone, via our chat service, or email. Please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Borrowing materials:

Included in the temporary Galvin study space will be a collection of the most useful and in-demand materials (including Law materials), available for students and staff to borrow as usual. Please feel free to ask library staff in Galvin for any assistance using the new collection.

The remaining library collection from both St Teresa's and Craven will be packed for safe storage off-site until the building works in St Teresa’s are completed. This material will not be accessible to us while these works are ongoing. We recognise this may be disruptive but remind students and staff of the extensive eResource (online) collections which are available 24/7 from any location. Students or staff needing assistance to locate and use these resources should visit the Galvin Library desk, jump onto our Chat service (available from any page on the University Library website) or send an email to fremantle.stteresaslibrary@nd.edu.au.

Requesting other materials:

Staff and students can utilise any of the following options (if eligible) to borrow materials that are currently unavailable from the Fremantle libraries:

  • All students and academic staff are eligible to register as a reciprocal borrower, and may be able to borrow requested items from other WA Universities. Read more about the service and register online via the library website.

  • Eligible staff and students can also make use of our Document Delivery/Interlibrary loan service to gain access to other materials.

  • Any student can request the acquisition of new items for the collection by placing a request via the Library website.
